Man jailed after he forgets password to his memory stick

A man was sentenced to 4 months in prison after he forgot the password to his memory stick.

Syed Hussain, 22, from Luton, United Kingdom, was convicted of failing to provide police with the password to his USB stick.

Police seized his USB stick in an anti-terrorist operation. However, police said that the device was protected by sophisticated encryption technology, and they were unable to crack the password.

The police called government experts of communications, but even they were not able to break the code.

At that time, Hussain was in jail after he was accused of being part of a terror group.

Police demanded that Hussain give them his password to the memory stick, but he told police that he did not remember the password.

The judge ordered Hussain to spend 4 months in prison for refusing to hand over his password.

Judge Richard Marks said that the defendant’s refusal to comply with police to provide the password was a very serious matter because it hampers the police investigation.
